Cecil Balmond, an internationally renowned artist, architect and engineer has set the stage for Colombo’s most exclusive and happening place, Cinnamon Life.
He has pioneered the crossover between advanced art, architecture and science by transforming the relationship between designers and the built environment. Some of his famous architectural works include; the CCTV Tower in Beijing with Rem Koolhaas, the ArcelorMittal Orbit for London’s 2012 Olympics with Anish Kapoor, the Star of Caledonia, and many others.
Cecil Balmond has brought modern living complete with retail, office, hotel and entertainment spaces to the heart of the Colombo. Cinnamon Life, as quoted by the architect; “will be a composition of several forms, from an architecture and design point of view. It will be like nothing Sri Lanka has ever seen”.
